McCook Habitat for Humanity continues 'Brush with Kindness'
McCOOK, Nebraska -- The Southwest Nebraska Habitat for Humanity met Monday, June 4.
The "Brush with Kindness" painting project continues on Saturday, June 16 beginning at 8 a.m. at the 500 block of West SecondStreet.
Painting is also scheduled for Saturday, June 23 (if necessary). If you are interested in volunteering for this project, please contact Tammie Hilker at 345-4240 or 345-3717.
The election of officers resulted in the re-election of Joan Koch, president; Val Kircher, vice president; Pastor John StreckerBaseler, secretary. Ted Sintler was elected treasurer.
Thanks to Sue Wesch for her many years as treasurer.
New board members who were approved: Deidre Shafer, Courtney Modrell, Kent Been and (pending notification, Dawn Cribbs).
Going off the board are Elda and Harley Shields and John Hanson, although they all plan to remain active on committees.
The next meeting will be Monday, July 2 at 5:15 p.m. at the McCook Evangelical Free Church.
