McCOOK, Nebraska -- The McCook Police Department recently received multiple reports of items stolen from vehicles in the vicinity of McCook Community College. According to a report from City Manager Jeff Hancock investigators are seeking information on a group of four to five males that were reportedly seen wearing dark clothing and walking in the area.

Residents are encouraged to report groups of males walking or running in neighborhoods during the evening and late night hours to the McCook Police Department at 308-345-3450 or Crime stoppers at 308-345-5440. The police department also issued a reminder not to leave valuable items or keys in vehicles as they present easy targets for criminals.

The city newsletter provided an update on the three burglaries that occurred March 1 at businesses on North U.S. Highway 83 in McCook. The update stated that a single male suspect was being sought in connection to the crimes.
