A pair of reproduction World War I German fighter planes taxi out for takeoff after stopping for fuel at McCook Ben Nelson Regional Airport after appearing in an Iowa airshow over the weekend. The planes are reproductions of a yellow 1918 Fokker D-VIII and a red 1917 Fokker D-VII belonging to the Vintage Aero Flying Museum in Fort Lupton, Colorado. More information is available at http://www.vafm.org. The D-VIII reproduction first flew about two years ago, while the D-VII is about 40 years old.
