Wood birthday

The family of Caroline Wood of McCook is requesting a card shower in honor of her 100th birthday. She was born April 22, 1910, at Frontier, Colorado. She was born and raised in Frontier county, living her first 91 years within a 7 mile radius of where she was born. At the age of 91 she moved to assisted living. Her family includes her children, Leonard and wife, Michelle of rural Maywood, Carla and husband, Jeff of Mount View Arkansas, Karen and husband, Roger of Urbandale, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. An open house celebration is planned at Willow Ridge, 1500 East 11th, in McCook, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 24.
