Wesley A. Osborn

MAX -- Wesley A. Osborn, 61, died Sunday (Dec. 27, 2009) at Dundy County Hospital in Benkelman.
He was born Sept. 11, 1948, at Fort Collins, Colo., to Wesley A. and Viola Mae (Triplett) Osborn, Sr., and grew up in Loveland, Colo. He moved with his family to Pennsylvania and later to California, where he became interested in auto mechanics.
He earned his GED and went on to attend ITT Tech in electronics. He drove tow truck for many years, primarily in the Denver, Colo., and Front Range area.
On Oct. 9, 1982, he married Violet M. Hodges at Fort Lupton, Colo.
He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Benkelman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Osborn, Sr.; and an infant sister, Pamela Lynn.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Osborn of Max; his mother, Viola Mae Osborn; daughters, Tammy Osborn and Teresa Osborn; brother, John Osborn; stepsons, David Conover, Michael Conover, and Jessee Swank, III; 15 grandchildren and one on the way; two great-granddaughters; and numerous other relatives, friends and neighbors.
A memorial service to honor his life will be Saturday, 11 a.m. (MST) at the United Presbyterian Church in Benkelman with Marcine Farmer, PMA, officiating. Services will conclude at the church. The family will gather for a private inurnment at a later date.
There will be no visitation or viewing.
A memorial has been established in his name.
