Joyce Belle (Bethel) Hicks

COCOA, Fla. - Joyce Hicks, age 74, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, from injuries sustained in a car accident.

She was born on the family farm between Lebanon and Danbury, Neb. to Klee and Laura (Fisher) Bethel, the youngest of six children.

She graduated from Danbury High School in 1952, and retired from Chrysler Corp. after many years of service.

Joyce is survived by two children, daughter, Carmen (Joe) Moore and son, David Lane McGill of Cocoa, Fla.; two brothers, Harold Bethel of Aldie, Va., and Donald (Judith) Bethel of Lebanon; one sister, Wilma Olson of Des Moines, Iowa.

Grandchildren are Tanya Munn, Melanie and Michael McGill, Vicky Kinsella and David Moore; seven greatgrandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents; a sister, Elsie Clarida and a brother, Arlee Dale Bethel.

There was no service. A celebration of her life will be Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, in Cocoa, Fla. Donations may be made to your favorite charity.
