"North Platte is a tough course for us to play," said McCook boys golf coach Rick Haney. "It has tight fairways and short holes. It also contains some water hazards that we have to deal with.
"Overall I was pleased with the effort. We had a couple of surprises with Drew Shields, Corey Dallam, and Ben Vetrovsky scoring well.
"We also had some solid rounds from a couple of our upper classmen in Adam Kruger and Bryce Buhr. Joe Vetrovsky had a couple of rought breaks but also golfed well."
The Bison returned to North Platte today for the North Platte Invitational.
The meet was rescheduled from March 27 because of inclement weather.
McCook plays at the Kearney Invitational Thursday.
