Hastings College women cruise past Nebraska Wesleyan

HASTINGS -- The Hastings College women's basketball team cruised past Nebraska Wesleyan 74-52 Wednesday night at the Lynn Farrell Arena in Hastings.

The Broncos were led by senior Kay Broekemeier with 19 points and 9 rebounds. She was 7 of 16 from the floor. Broekemeier also collected 4 assists.

Lindsay Ducey had 18 points as she was 12 of 12 from the free throw line. Rachel Isherwood chipped in with 11 points and 4 rebounds while teammate Heather McKeon added 10 points and 5 rebounds.

The Broncos are now 18-6 overall and 8-6 in the conference.

Hastings will be back in action Saturday as they host Dordt College. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.

The game will be the last regular season home game for the Hastings College women.
