Farm bill informational meetings set

The Red Willow-Frontier County FSA Office has scheduled two informational meetings to discuss significant changes in the 2009 Direct and Counter-Cyclical Program. The first meeting will be Tuesday Feb. 10, at the Curtis Community Center in Curtis. The second meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Red Willow County 4-H Building on the Red Willow County Fairgrounds in McCook. Both meetings will begin at 1:30 p.m. on each day. Information will be presented on the new farm bill including significant changes in producers eligibility for program benefits. All individuals with farming interest are encouraged to attend one of these meetings.
