George, Perkins wedding
LINCOLN -- Betsy George and Layne Perkins, both of Lincoln exchanged wedding vows in an Oct. 18, 2008, ceremony at Messiah Lutheran Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. John Kunze officiating.
Parents of the couple are Gerry and Pam George of Waco and Ron and Jean Perkins of McCook.
Brenda George, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Megan Hull, Jill Goedeken, Brittany Klute, Misti Perkins and Audra George served as bridesmaids.
Creighton Perkins, brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman. Bridegroomsmen were Scott Smalley, Nick Hinz, Andrew Sughroue, Troy Gonzalez and Craig George.
Seating the guests were Riley Courtright, Jeremy Walter and Jeremy Escher.
Domineke Perkins, niece of the bridegroom, was the flowergirl and Dionte' Perkins, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ringbearer.
Honored guests were Robert and Melba Liedtke of Stromsburg and Richard and Janis George of Waco, grandparents of the bride and Gerald and Gladys Cole of Curtis, grandparents of the bridegroom.
A reception was at Crooked Creek Golf Club with Jim and Lanette Bathen and Gary and Dixie Bowker, aunts and uncles of the couple, serving as hosts.
The bridegroom is an assistant manager at Scheels in Lincoln. The bride is a dental assistant for Schoettger Orthdontics in Lincoln.
Following a honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is residing in Lincoln.
