Michael 'Mike' Eugene Howard

HOWE, Ind. -- Michael "Mike" Eugene Howard died unexpectantly Saturday, May 17, 2008, at his home in Howe, Indiana while working on a car. He was 18 years old.

Mike was born on Sept. 23, 1989, to James D. and Virginia (King) Howard in Deming, New Mexico. He was a member of the junior class at Lakeland High School in Howe.

Mike was a respectful and outgoing young man. He was employed at Pizza Hut in Sturgis, Michigan. In his free time, he loved to go fishing.

Survivors include his mother, Virginia King of Howe; his father, James Howard of McCook; one brother, Nicholas D. Howard of McCook; and grandparents, John and Nelda Goetz of Deming, NM and Lula Jones of Michigan; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorials may be given in his name.

Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may go online at www.carpenterbreland.com to extend condolences.

Graveside services will be Friday, May 23, 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Clark Bates officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
