Board protest

Friday, August 31, 2007

Dear Editor,

Board members (skate boarders) stand in protest, as cops say they will put them in jail if they are caught sitting on the stage with skate boards again -- not skating just sitting. The kids said they will be charged with trespassing -- on public property?

I guess the law enforcement has caught all 20 million illegal workers in this country and has time to go after kids sitting, holding skate boards at the band shelter?

It is easy for government to give kids a hard time, as kids don't vote.

It is kind of like the everyone demanding jail time for the pro football player who fought and killed dogs, but no one demands jail for a government that has killed a quarter of a million people and 3,000 were our own finest.

The last picture is a little girl as her family is leaving McCook. She is taking one last ride around Norris (Park) on her skate board. So many families are leaving and we all know why.
