Vera M. Lindemann

OBERLIN -- Vera M. Lindemann, 97, died Saturday (July 21, 2007), at Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin.

She was born July 15, 1910, at Oberlin, to Wilbur Louetta (Cayton) Marietta. She was raised in Oberlin, attending Oberlin City School and graduating from Decatur Community High School in 1926.

On Aug. 11, 1930, she married Elmer C. Lindemann at Norton. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Alpha Kappa Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer on March 23, 1996; brothers, Clifford "Duke" and Harlan Marietta, a sister, Luverne Ploussard and an infant sister.

Survivors include her son, Gene and wife, Yvonne Lindemann of Littleton, Colo; a daughter, Pat and husband, Kent Reinhardt of Otis, Kan.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were today at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Charlotte Strecker-Baseler officiating. Interment was at Oberlin Cemetery.
