OBERLIN -- Paul H. Wray, 88, died Friday (July 6, 2007) at Decatur County Good Samaritan Center in Oberlin.

He was born Aug. 3, 1918, in Hopkins, Mo., to Guy and Lela (Carmichel) Wray. He grew up in Missouri and Iowa.

He served in the U.S. Army. He married Darlene Tabor on July 6, 1957, in Souix Falls, S.D. He lived in Minnesota and Colorado for 35 years, before moving to Oberlin in 1998. He worked as a manufacturer of dairy products.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Austin, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents Guy and Lela Wray.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene of Oberlin; son, Steve Wray of Waterloo, Iowa; brothers, Hugh Wray and wife, Mary Lee of Loveland, Colo., Guy Wray Jr. and wife, Marlys of Cedar Falls, Iowa, William Wray and wife, Twilia of Fort Collins, Colo., Dean Wray and wife, Carman of The Villages, Fla., Doyle Wray and wife, Linda of Princeton, W.Va., and Robert Wray and wife, Dena of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and sisters, Doris Lager of Waterloo, Iowa and Mary Taylor of Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin, with the Rev. Bill Duncan officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m., and Tuesday from 8 a.m., until the time of the service.

Memorials may be given in his name.
