KILLEEN, Texas -- Lora Marietta, Oberlin, placed third overall at the 2007 USA Powerlifting Collegiate National Championships April 13-15 at the Killeen Civic & Conference Center in Killeen, Texas.
There were about 60 women and 145 men competing.
Marietta lifted in the 132-pound (60 kilo) women's division.

Lora Marietta bench pressed a career-high 192.5 pounds en route to a third-place finish in the 132-pound weight class.
Her lifts were as follows: squat 302.5 pounds (137.5 kg), bench 192.5 pounds (87.5 kg) and deadlift 286 pounds (130 kg) for a total of 781 pounds (355 kg). The 192.5 pounds for bench was a personal best.
Marietta is a sophomore at Kansas State. She is majoring in dietetics.
