OBERLIN --?Gly Annette Shaw, 91, died Jan. 23, 2007, in Topeka, Kan.

She was born Oct. 9, 1915, in Decatur County, to Floyd Brice and Harriet (Stowe) Gilbert. She grew up in rural Rawlins County. She attended Rosedale country school in Rawlins County and Decatur County High School.

She married Clayton Baker. She lived in California, Oberlin and Jennings.

On May 27, 1954, she married Walt Shaw in Norton, Kan. She operated a retail liquor and grocery store.

She was a member of the United Church of Oberlin, Happy Homemakers Garden Club and Golden Rule in Rawlins County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walt Shaw; sons, Wilbur Baker; brother, Denzil Gilbert; and sister, Gladys Shaw.

Survivors include her sons, Jerry Baker and wife, Elisa of Topeka, Kan.; daughter-in-law, Autumn Hong Baker of Grass Valley, Calif.; brother, Jay Gilbert of Rexford, Kan.; sister, Cletis Hammerschmidt of Hays, Kan.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin, with the Rev. Judy Stricker officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the United Church of Oberlin or Last Indian Raid Museum.
