All letters mailed from the McCook Post Office on Thursday will be hand-cancelled with a stamp featuring the Quasquicentennial Logo, reminds Postmaster James Casson.

All letters mailed that day will carry the the Quasquicentennial logo which was unveiled at the 2006 Heritage Days Celebration.

After March 1, the logo designed by Monica Mercer of Parks, will be available for marking pieces of mail on request for the next 60 days.

Students from Central Elementary classes will be visiting the Post Office throughout the day to help commemorate the special occasion.

They are invited to bring letters they would like to have marked with the special Quasquicentennial Cancel-lation Stamp.

Anyone with questions about the March 1 date, please feel free to contact Casson at the Post Office (308) 345-6590 or the McCook Area Chamber of Commerce office at (308) 345-3200.
