McCarty, Maynard wedding
Jennifer Nicole McCarty and Evan Taylor Maynard were united in marriage on June 24, 2006, at McCook Christian Church, with the Rev. Jonathan Simpson of Atlanta, Ga and Jason Van Pelt of McCook officiating.
Parents of the couple are Dave and Angela McCarty of McCook and Dave and Andrea Maynard of Culbertson.
Grandparents and honorable guests of the couple are Earl and Letha Svoboda of McCook, Larry and Nadena McCarty of McCook, the late Marilyn McCarty, Ray and Marion Arnold of Trumbell, Mitzi and the late Dwight Maynard of Clark, S.D., and Sylvia Coppin of Culbertson.
Dani Hancock, cousin of the bride, of Omaha, was the matron of honor. Eden Maynard, sister of the bridegroom, of Omaha, served as maid of honor. Sarah Powers of McCook and Carrie McCarty, sister-in-law of the bride, of Omaha, were bridesmaids.
Ross Oberg and JJ Roschewski, both of Kearney served as best men. Jason Van Pelt of McCook and Tyler McCarty, brother of the bride, of Omaha, were bridegroomsmen.
Kristen Miller, cousin of the bride, of Lincoln, was the personal attendant. The couple's fathers lit a candle in loving memory of the bride's grandmother and the bridegroom's grandfather.
Madelyn Miller, cousin of the bride of Hickman and Jordyn Maynard, cousin of the bridegroom of Vienna S.D., were the flower girls. Chelsea Svoboda and Amanda McCarty, both cousins of the bride, of McCook, were candlelighters.
Jordan Svoboda and Andrew McCarty, cousins of the bride of Omaha, Mike Garretson of Kearney and Adam Wright of Moberly, Mo., were ushers. Karen Lieske of McCook was the pianist and Tyler McCarty, brother of the bride, of Omaha and Jared Strock of Omaha were the soloists.
Program attendants were Zac and Nic Curl, cousins of the bride, of McCook and bird seed bags were passed out by Shelby and Chantel Sawyer, cousins of the bride, of McCook.
A reception followed the ceremony at Community Building on the Red Willow County fairgrounds. Darrell and Brenda Svoboda of McCook, aunt and uncle of the bride and Neal and Margie Hauxwell of McCook were host couples.
Reception assistants were Kim Miller of North Platte, Anissa Curl of McCook, the late Andrea Sawyer of McCook, all aunts of the bride, Kristene Mustion, aunt of the bridegroom of Culbertson, Leeann and Liz McCarty, both aunts of the bride of McCook, and Barb Hinz, Nita Skinner, Tonya Placzek and Tyra Barger of McCook.
Gift attendants were Joseph McCarty, cousin of the bride, of McCook and Jordan and Maleesha Mustion, cousins of the bridegroom, of Culbertson. Amy Grove of Northfield, Minn., was the guestbook attendant.
The bride is a full time student at the University of Nebraska Kearney. The bridegroom is a graduate of Mid Plains Community College of North Platte with a degree in Auto Body and is employed with Second Chance in Kearney.
After a honeymoon in Colorado Springs, Colo., the couple is making their home in Kearney.
