WAKEENEY, Kan. -- Ronald Schreiner, 57, died Sunday (Jan. 14, 2007) at Trego Lemke Memorial Hospital in WaKeeney, Kan.

He was born Dec. 14, 1949, in Hays, Kan., to Michael Raymond and Eula Maxine (Jamison) Schreiner. He graduated from Trego Community High School in 1967.

On Sept. 7, 1968, he married Barbara Kay Boyd at Christ the King Catholic Church in WaKeeney. He worked as a grain trader and farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Thresa Schwartz.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara of WaKeeney; two sons, Michael Schreiner and wife, Sandy Welsh of Toronto, Canada and Jason Schreiner of Eugene, Ore.; two brothers, John Schreiner and Daniel Schreiner and wife, Jaclyn all of WaKeeney.; four sisters, Irene Jackson and husband, Jerry of Havasu City, Ariz., Viola Zimmerman and husband, Bob of Stafford,Kan., Trish Albin and husband, Randy of Quinter, Kan., and Carol Luetters and husband, David of Garden City, Kan.; and two grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Saturday, 2:30 p.m., at First United Methodist Church in WaKeeney, with the Rev. Wayne Lofton officiating. A private inurnment will be at a later date.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Schmitt Funeral Home in WaKeeney.
