ATWOOD -- Lucille Theresa (Martintzer) Solko, 90, died Monday (Dec. 18, 2006) at Good Samaritan Center in Atwood.

She was born Aug. 28, 1916, to Joseph and Mary Martintzer. She grew up on the family farm west of Herndon.

On May 20, 1941, she married Albert Solko at St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church in Herndon.

She was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Church and the Christian Mothers Alter Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert in 1987; and six brothers, Clemens, Alfred, Emery, Joseph, Raymond and Hubert.

Survivors include her children, Samual of Ludell, Donald and wife, Diane of Herndon, Delmer of Herndon, Kenneth and wife, Gwen of McCook, Mary Ann Padgett of McCook, Patrick and wife, Joy Lynn of Herndon, Jane Waterman and husband, Martin Jr. of Atwood and Alan and wife, Ann of Herndon; sister, Aurelia Esher of Topeka, Kan; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church in Atwood, with the Rev. Galen Long officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery in Herndon.

Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Rosary will be Saturdat at 9:30 a.m. at the church.

Memorials may be given in her name to the Good Samaritan Center in Atwood.
