Grieser, Augustyn wedding
LINCOLN -- Lindsay Creighton Grieser and Daniel John Augustyn of Lincoln were united in marriage on June 24, 2006, at the Lincoln Station Great Hall in Lincoln.
Parents of the couple are the late Gary Grieser and Cheri and Roger Oltman of Lincoln and Charles and Marilyn Augustyn, formerly of McCook, of Lincoln.
The bridegroom's grandparents are Maribeth Augustyn, the late Joseph J. Augustyn and the late Robert and Agnes Huff, all of McCook.
Laura DeWitt of Omaha and Sabrina Starrett of West Palm Beach, Fla., were the maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Renee Augustyn, sister of the bridegroom, and Janna Hutton, both of Lincoln, and Deanna Engel of Atlanta.
Mike McQuistan of Columbia, Md. served as bestman. Bridegroomsmen were Joseph Augustyn, brother of the bridegroom and Dan Dixon, both of Lincoln, Michael Carter, cousin of the bridegroom, of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Dan Blobaum of Lenexa, Kan.
Ushers were Brad Carmichael of Overland Park, Kan., Travis Heidorf of Cleveland, Ohio, and Lewis Gainor of Chicago, Ill.
A reception followed the ceremony in the Great Hall. Jenny Reed, cousin of the bridegroom, of Highland Village, Texas was the guestbook attendant. Greeters were Carol Reed, aunt of the bridegroom and Vince Reed, cousin of the bridegroom, of Highland Village, Texas.
The bride graduated with high distinction with a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is a sports copy editor with the Lincoln Journal Star. The bridegroom also graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. He is a lawyer with Augustyn Law Office.
After a honeymoon in Victoria and Vancouver, British Columbia, and Seattle, the couple is making their home in Lincoln.
