Bernice Derald Sayer

CAMBRIDGE -- Bernice Derald Sayer, 62, died Sunday (Sept. 3, 2006) at the United Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
He was born to Raymond and Velma (Brown) Sayer on June 11, 1944, in Cambridge. He was baptized in the Methodist Church and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1962.
He married Patricia Ann Metzger on Aug. 1, 1964. He worked as a skilled meat butcher in McCook and Cambridge and was a feed truck operator for Rite Mix Millings Company in McCook until 1966. He then joined the family farming operation. After retiring from farming in 1990, he worked for Hinz Trucking and Sayer Farm and Ranch Trucking until the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two sons, Michael and wife, Connie and Jared and wife, Julie; his step-mother-in-law, Irene Young; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A private family interment is today at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Tim Burke officiating.
