McCook High School activities director Rick Haney recorded a hole-in-one at Heritage Hills Golf Course April 22.

Haney used an 8-iron to hole out the 146-yard fifth hole.

The hole-in-one was witnessed by Monte Hazlitt, Dan Stramel, Steve Leopold and Kelvin Miller.

MMBA coaches

meeting Thursday

The McCook Midget Baseball Association, Inc., has scheduled a required coaches meeting for coaches in their T-Ball, T-Softball, Sluggers and Cubs divisions.

The meeting is 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the grandstand at Felling Field.

Schedules, rules and McDonalds coupons will be handed out to coaches.

A representative needs to be present if a coach is unable to attend the meeting.

The McCook Midget Baseball Association, Inc., is responsible for the city league youth baseball and softball games at Felling Field.

Legion umpires

certification

clinic Sunday

An American Legion baseball umpires certification clinic is scheduled for 5 p.m. Sunday at Jaycees Park.

Certified and experienced umpires can earn $30-45 a game.

Cost of the clinic is $10.
