CAMBRIDGE -- Lyman G. Hilker, 79, of Cambridge, died Thursday (March 29, 2006) at Cambridge Manor.

He was born to Charles "C.W." and Rosa Anna (Riepe) Hilker in Gosper County.

He married Maxine Sayer on August 5, 1949, in McCook. He farmed all of his life near Cambridge.

He served in the U. S. Army from 1945-1946.

He was a member and Elder of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cambridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, "C.W." and Rosa; two brothers-in-law, Preston Fisher, and Victor Meyers.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine; son, Glenn Hilker and wife, Shauna of Cambridge; daughter, Paula Kennicutt and husband, Melvin of Arapahoe; two sisters, Maxine Fisher and Evelyn Meyers both of Holbrook; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, , a.m. at St. Paul‚s Lutheran Church in Cambridge, with theRev. Carl Pullman and Vicar David A. Feddern officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Cambridge.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary.

Memorials can be given in his name.
