WACO -- Donald W. Fellows, 77, died Wednesday (Jan. 11, 2006) in York.
He was born in Stromsburg on Aug. 30, 1928, to Raymond L. and Ellen M. (Larson) Fellows. He graduated from Stromsburg High School in 1945.
He married Joyce Leach on Dec. 29, 1951, in Stromsburg. They made their home in Lexington and Waco.
He was a farmer, worked at the Farmers Co-op Grain Association, managed the Waco Farmers Co-op and worked as an insurance representative and grain auditor for the Cooperative Service Company.
He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1951 and served in Korea.
He was a member of the York American Legion Post No. 19
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Waco; sons, Darrell of McCook, Duane and wife, Linda of Broken Bow and Todd and fiance, Colleen Blackwell of Marcline, Mo.; a daughter, Lori and husband, Dave Forbes of Grand Island; sister-in-law, Roberta Fellows of Stromsburg; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church in York with the Rev. Art Phillips officiating. Interment will be at the Waco Cemetery with military honors.
Memorials are being accepted in his name.
