Ruth L. 'Tiny' Ruby

HASTINGS -- Ruth L. "Tiny" Ruby, 60, died Thursday (Nov. 24, 2005) at her home in Hastings.

She was born Nov. 12, 1945, in Maywood to Ralph and Edith G. (Kahler) Littell. She graduated from Maywood High School in 1964 and from McCook Beauty Academy in 1965.

She married William Ruby in McCook on March 19, 1971.

She worked for TRW in McCook, was a homemaker and worked for Marshalltown.

She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous sisters- and brothers-in-law.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Ruby of Hastings; son, Wesley and wife, Megan Ruby of Hastings; daughter, Tina and husband, Aaron Gardner of Hastings; sister, Linda and husband, Ron Werkmeister of Curtis; brother, Dan Littell of Maywood; sisters-in-law, Dorothy VanPelt, Katie and husband, Lefty Lewis and Wanda and husband, Joe Gouldsmith; brother-in-law, Robert Ruby; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Monday, 1 p.m., at Butler-Volland Chapel with the Rev. Earl Higgins officiating. Graveside services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Maywood Cemetery with the Rev. Dale Heimer officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, noon-9 p.m., Sunday, 1-9 p.m., and Monday, 9 a.m.-noon, at Butler-Volland Funeral Home in Hastings.

Memorials are being accepted in her name at Lou Gehrig's Research or the donor's choice.
