MCC women's basketball team downs McPherson College JV
McPHERSON, Kan. -- The McCook Community College women's basketball defeated the McPherson College junior varsity 61-55 Monday night at McPherson, Kan.
Kamilia Brown, a freshman guard from Kansas City, scored 13 points for the Indians. Amanda Terpstra, a freshman center from Colorado Springs, scored 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
"We were up 29-26 at half and fell behind by 10 with 10 minutes left in the second half," said MCC women's basketball coach Michelle Orton.
"With 1 1/2 minutes left, Staci Moore from Cambridge hit a three to put us up by three and Trina Perryman hit a two-footer to put us up by five. After that Kamilia Brown was fouled with 15 seconds left and hit one free throw to seal the game."
