Coroner rules no foul play in death

There was no foul play involved in the death of a former Red Willow County Attorney, according to a special coroner.

The coroner, attorney Pete Burger, made his determination after reviewing information from the investigation surrounding the Sunday death of Dal Wood in Wood's home.

Burger was appointed because Wood's son, Paul, is Red Willow County Attorney and acts as coroner.

Funeral services for Dal Wood will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Congregational Church in McCook with Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
