Hitchcock Co. Falcons fly past Brewster 49-20
BREWSTER, Kan. -- Tyrell Riggs rushed for 149 yards and six touchdowns in the Falcons win Friday night in Brewster, Kan.
The Falcons went up 12-0 to end the first quarter but the Bulldogs fought back to take a 14-12 lead in the second quarter.
The half ended with the Falcons leading 20-14.
The second half belonged to Hitchcock County as the line dominated on both sides of the ball.
Chancy Carlson led the Falcons with 12 tackles. Sam Montoya had 11 tackles. Tyrel Riggs and Sam Matson had 8 tackles. Joshua Kershaw had 2 interceptions and Tyrel Riggs had 1 interception.
Orrin Riggs had 58 yards rushing and 9 receiving yards. John Thompson rushed for 30 yards.
Our defense did a good job of shutting down their passing game and the offense used good old fashion power football to take control.

WAUNETA -- Arapahoe walloped Wauneta-Palisade Friday night 51-26.
The Broncos started to turn around in second, when the lights on the field went out.
Tony Braithwait led the Warriors in the first quarter with a 31 yard pass to Blake Maaske and a 10 yard run by Tyler Hamel.
Broncos Taylor Dixon and Jake Smith both ran in the second. Sebastion Edwards made a 63 yard punt return and Hamel made the run to start the third quarter.
Hamel had a 38 yard run and Braithwait passed to Maaske 14 yards with just five seconds left to finish the third. Smith had a five yard run and Chris Crowell ran 67 yards for the Broncos in the fourth.
Warriors Ryan Fricke ran 65 yards with Adam Snyder passing to Aaron Wedland for the final touchdown.
