John Donald Kelly

CAMBRIDGE -- John Donald Kelly, 79, died Wednesday (July 20, 2005), at the Cambridge Manor in Cambridge.
He was born Dec. 17, 1925, in Cambridge to Dean and Sadie (Wonderlick) Kelly.
HE was drafted into the U.S. Army prior to graduation and served his country from 1946 to 1949 in the European theatre and in Germany.
In 1943 he married Joyce Harshfield.
In 1993, he married Naoimi (Young) Potts.They made their home in Cambridge.
In 1950 he pursued and got his GED.
He ran the Cambridge Bowl in Cambridge for seven years, later opening his own TV and Appliance Repair Store. Following retirement he worked for the Cambridge Golf course for 10 years.
He was a member of the Cambridge Men's Club, the McCook Elks, the Eagles and a member of the American Legion Post of Cambridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother Daryl.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi, two sons: Gayle and wife Patsy of Cambridge and Corvan of Ogallala: one step-son, Dick and wife, Carla Potts of Cambridge; two grandsons; one great grand son; two step-grand daughters and one step-great granddaughter.
Funeral services will Saturday, 10 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church in Cambridge with the Rev. David Rowe officiating. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery of Cambridge.
Memorials may be left to Trinity United Methodist Church.
