Marion Alberta Follett, 78, died Friday (April 29, 2005) at McCook Community Hospital.

She was born Nov. 11, 1926, in Bird City to Frank H.L. and Hertha Rose Pettit. She attended Baker Rural School.

On March 18, 1949, she married George Warren Follett at Beaver City, Nebraska. To this union two sons were born. They moved to McCook in 1956, where she was a homemaker and worked in housekeeping at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was living at Hillcrest at the time of her death.

She was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; one son Michael Patrick Follett; two brothers, Lloyd and Sylvester Pettit; and infant sister, Mary Lou Pettit.

Survivors include one son, Rodney Follett of Omaha; one grandson; and great-granddaughter.

Funeral Services will be Monday, 2 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Chapel with the Rev. Clark Bates officiating. Burial will be at Benkleman Cemetery in Benkleman.
