OBERLIN -- Agnes Chambers, 87, died Tuesday (March 8, 2005) at Decatur County Good Samaritan Center in Oberlin.

She was born Jan. 28, 1918, to Wayne and Christine (Nelson) Cramer in Geneva. She was raised in Maywood. She graduated from Maywood High School in 1932 and attended the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture in Curtis.

On Oct. 20, 1946, she married Lester Lynn Chambers in McCook. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Liberty Star Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Jeanette Delano in 1980 and Helen Stanley in 1988; and a brother, Richard Cramer.

Survivors include her son, Richard and wife, Lynn Chambers of Hays, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services are Friday, 11 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Doug Hasty officiating. Interment will be in Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m., until services time at Pauls Funeral Home of Oberlin.

Memorials may be given to the Decatur County Good Samaritan Center in Oberlin.
