Lucile Johnson Hilton Williamson

CAMBRIDGE -- Lucile Williamson, 94, died Monday (Jan. 24, 2005) at the Cambridge Manor.
She was born Oct. 13, 1910, in Furnas County to Alfred and Hilma (Olson) Johnson. She attended Blacktop School and Cambridge High School, graduating in 1928. While in high school she was the captain of the basketball team.
On March 2, 1931, she married Harold Hilton. They raised four children while farming in Furnas and Red Willow counties. Harold died in 1979.
Lucile married Loren Williamson in 1990. They resided in Montana for a couple of years and then returned to live at the Cambridge Heritage Plaza. Loren died in 1997.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cambridge. She was active in church organizations as well as many other clubs, serving as president of many of them.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Claude and his wife, Ada and Roy and his wife, Opal; her sister Grace and husband, Art Olson; sister-in-law, Vera Johnson; brother-in-law, Marion Jones.
Survivors include her son, Gerald and wife, Gloria of Cambridge; son, Kenneth and wife, Peggy of Cambridge; daughter, Colleen and husband, Phil Kamm of Kearney; and daughter, Shirley and husband, Bob Linderholm of Cambridge; brother, Lester and wife, Billye; and sister, Helen Jones all of Cambridge; sister-in-law, Betty Trenchard of Denver; nine step-children and their families, who live in Lincoln, Nebraska, western Montana, and other locales in the Northwest; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two step-great grandsons.
Services are Saturday, Feb. 5, 10:30 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church in Cambridge. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. David Rowe officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Methodist Church or to the charity of choice.
