ATWOOD -- Cecil Max Tumblin, 80, died Thursday (Dec. 16, 2004) at Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kan.

He was born Nov. 2, 1924, in Grand Island to Ray J. and Elizabeth A. (Blevins) Tumblin.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

He married Marion Agnes Ellis. He was a trucking terminal manager in Seattle, Wash. He moved to Atwood and was terminal manager for ANR Truck Lines.

He was a member of the Lutheran church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Raymond J. Tumblin, Jr.

Survivors include his son, Michael Thomas Tumblin of Los Angeles, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Services are Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Brantley Funeral Home of Atwood with the Rev. Don White officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Grand Island.

Memorials may be left in his name.
