McCook and Nebraska football legend Jeff Kinney speaks to the McCook Bison football team Sunday, as the team prepares to advance in the playoffs. The Bison, 10-0, take on 6-4 Ogallala in quarterfinal action at 6 p.m. CDT or 5 p.m. MST today at Ogallala. Kinney, who rushed for more than 1,000 yards in his senior year at McCook High School, 1968, to become a Prep All American. He went on to be starting halfback on the University of Nebraska national championship teams in 1970 and 1971. He played four years with the Kansas City Chiefs and a year with the Buffalo Bills. He now lives in Kansas City where he is in the financial business.
