OBERLIN --  Louise W. Nauer, 87, died Saturday (Sept. 25, 2004) at the Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.

She was born Sept. 14, 1917, to Theodore and Sophia (Meyer) Duensing in Byron. She was raised in Norton and attended Emmanuel Lutheran Parochial Grade School. She attended Norton High School.

On Oct. 17, 1947, she married Paul M. Nauer in New Almelo, Kan. She was a homemaker. She lived on the Nauer family farm southeast of Jennings all of her married life.

She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Norton, Lutheran Ladies Aid and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul on Sept. 21, 1999; two brothers, Edward and Edwin Duensing; and sister, Viola Behrens.

Survivors include one son, Paul R. and wife, Kathy Nauer of Jennings; four daughters, Paula Nauer of Lenexa, Kan., Marie and husband, Greg Miller of Dresden, Mary and husband, Larry Miller of Dresden and Julie and husband, Roy Kidder of Mead, Colo.; two sisters, Lydia and husband, Elmer Wagner of Gresham, Ore., and Clara and husband, Raymond Thiele of Norton; and five grandchildren.

Services are Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Norton with the Rev. Rick Rostek officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in New Almelo.

Visitation is Wednesday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home of Oberlin and Thursday after 8 a.m., at the church in Norton.

Memorials may be given in her name to the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
