Reward offered in assault
Anonymous donors are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man charged with the assault and sexual assault of a teenage girl at her home northeast of McCook on Aug. 31.
Officers of the Red Willow County sheriff's department, Nebraska State Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are looking for 24-year-old Jose Cruz Cepeda-Lopez, who faces charges of first-degree sexual assault and false imprisonment, burglary and theft.
Cepeda-Lopez is described as about 6 feet tall, 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He may or may not be wearing a mustache and goatee.
