Maxine Severns

NORTON -- Maxine Severns, 88, died Tuesday (Sept. 14, 2004) at the Andbe Home in Norton.

She was born Sept. 15, 1915, to Roy and Clara (Mason) Wyatt in Norton. She grew up in Norton and graduated from Norton High School.

On Jan. 14, 1935, she married Verne Severns in Oberlin. The couple farmed northeast of Norton for most of their lives. He died June 5, 1998. She moved to the Andbe Home in Norton Jan. 7, 2004.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Verne; daughter, Sandra; and four granddaughters.

Survivors include her son, Neil and wife, Donna Severns of Norton.

Services are Friday, 1:30 p.m., at Norton Cemetery in Norton with the Rev. Wilmer E. Severns officiating.

Visitation is Thursday, 1-8 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Norton High School Scholarship Fund or the Andbe Home and they can be left at the funeral home in Beaver City.

Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City is in charge of the arrangements.
