Wilma F. Benjamin

Wilma F. Benjamin, 96, died Friday (Aug. 13, 2004) at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.
She was born March 7, 1908, to William P. and Bessie B. (Endsley) Broomfield in Red Willow County. She grew up in Red Willow County and graduated from Red Willow High School in 1924.
On Nov. 20, 1932, she married Raymond J. Benjamin in Oberlin. The couple made their home in McCook and spent the remainder of their lives here.
She was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond on Oct. 2, 1993; her brother, James Broomfield; two sisters, Sarah Jessup and Hazelle Bennett; and one son-in-law, Stan Davis.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Benjamin and wife, Shirley of Wauneta, Darrell Benjamin of Morrison, Colo., and Lloyd Benjamin and wife, Elizabeth of McCook; one daughter, June Davis of McCook; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services are Wednesday, 11 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook with the Rev. Jerel School officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in McCook.
The rosary will be recited Tuesday, 7 p.m., at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook.
