ATWOOD -- Laurine Margarethe Holste, 92, died Tuesday (Aug. 3, 2004) at Good Samaritan Center in Atwood.

She was born June 16, 1912, to Herman G. Mary (Hoffbauer) Holste on a farm in Ludell. She was a homemaker and worked in several cafes and in child care.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, John Paul and Clifton J. Holste.

Survivors include her brothers, Gerhard and wife, Lorna of Atwood, Arthur H. and wife, Doris of Redding, Calif., Herbert F. of Ludell, Herman M. and wife, Barbara and Robert W. and wife, Betty of Evansville, Ind; sisters, Dorothy E. Lewis of Atwood, Edith S. Wasserman of Hoxie, Kan., and Mary Ann Oelke and husband, Paul of Hoxie.

Services are Friday, 10 a.m., at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Atwood with the Rev. Don White officiating. Interment will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Ludell.

Visitation is Thursday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., at Brantley Funeral Home of Atwood and Friday, 8 a.m., until service time at the church.

Memorials may be given in her name to the Redeemer Preschool, The Lutheran Hour or the Good Samaritan Center.
