Otto P. Weskamp

June 22, 1911-March 1, 2004

Otto P. Weskamp, 92, died Monday (March 1, 2004) at his home in rural McCook.

He was born June 22, 1911, to Joseph H. and Marie (Karthauser) Weskamp in McCook. He attended school near Marion and lived in the McCook area his entire life.

On Feb. 24, 1936, he married Virginia Rose Harris in McCook. The couple farmed south of McCook.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the McCook Elks Lodge No. 1434.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia on July 29, 1992; and one brother, Vernon.

Survivors include one son, Lynn of McCook; a daughter, Shirley Nisley and husband, James of North Platte; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial is Saturday, 10 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Brethour officiating. Interment is in the Calvary Cemetery.

The rosary will be recited Friday, 6 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home.

Visitation is today and Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given in his name.
