Ruth A. Nealeigh

TRENTON -- Ruth A. Nealeigh, 88, died Thursday (Feb. 19, 2004) at El Dorado Manor in Trenton.

She was born April 28, 1915, to Benjamin and Metta (Fry) Duckworth in Hitchcock County. She grew up in Cornell Community south of Trenton and graduated from Trenton High School.

On Feb. 28, 1935, she married Charles Nealeigh in Trenton. The couple spent their married lives farming south of Trenton. They moved to El Dorado Manor in 2002.

She was a member of the Church of God in Trenton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles on March 19, 2003; and one brother, Jim Duckworth.

Survivors include three daughters, Robert Cross and husband, Roger of Fountain Hills, Ariz., Yvonne Garner of Trenton and Norma Nealeigh of Chadron; four brothers, Art Duckworth of McCook, Stan Duckworth of North Platte, Tom Duckworth and John Duckworth, both of Chicago, Ill.; seven grandchildren and 14-great-grandchildren.

Services are Monday, 2 p.m., at the Church of God in Trenton with Johnny Walker officiating. Interment will be at the Cornell Cemetery in Trenton.

Memorials may be given in her name and friends may call the funeral home.
