Maxine Lavina Herbert

MILFORD -- Maxine Lavina Herbert, 78, died Feb. 5, 2004, in Milford.

She was born April 1, 1925, to Charles and Emma (Sailors) Herbert in McCook.

On Sept. 14, 1943, she married Gene Bullard.

In August 1955, she married Bill Holland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gene Herbert and Vern Herbert; two sisters, Ada Bell and Luva Teeters; and granddaughter, Melissa Peterson.

Survivors include two daughters, Donita Peterson and Delia Butterfield of Lincoln; one brother, Irvin Herbert of Grand Rapids, Minn.; one sister, Verlene Wharman of Trenton; one sister-in-law, Marcella Herbert of Wauneta; three granddaughters and two great-grandsons.

Services are Saturday, 11 a.m., at Palisade Cemetery in Palisade.
