Clarification

Dear Editor,

We would like to clarify a statement in regards to the Ten Commandments from our Nov. 17 letter:

Although the Ten Commandments were initially given to the Jewish people, we who call ourselves Christians certainly revere these commands as part of Holy Scripture and we revere the God who gave them.

His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ perfectly kept God's law and He summed up its provisions in the Two Greatest Commandments from Matthew 22: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." And "Love your neighbor as yourself."
