Patricia D. Stapp

OBERLIN -- Patricia D. Stapp, 70, died Thursday (Jan. 24, 2002) at Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin.

She was born Jan. 22, 1931, in rural Norton, Kan., to Fay and Veva (Cuthbertson) Hatcher. She graduated from Norcatur High School in 1949.

On June 12, 1949, she married Dewaine Stapp in Norcatur. The couple made their home in Norcatur. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Norcatur United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors included her husband, Dewaine; two sons, Randy and wife, Karen Stapp of Mount Vernon, Ind., David and wife, Patty Stapp of Norcatur; one daughter, Elaine Kingsley of Allen, Texas; one sister, Venietta and husband, Richard Miller of Mission, Texas; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be Sunday, 2:30 p.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with Pastor Charles Keller officiating. Interment will be in Norcatur Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Sunday after 11 a.m.

Memorials may be left in her name at Norcatur United Methodist Church or Eldon Auker Park.
