Ardith G. Bartels

OBERLIN -- Ardith Gail Bartels, 77, died Wednesday (April 24, 2002) at her home in Oberlin.

She was born Dec. 24, 1924, to McKinley and Neta (Dawson) Gettle in Goodland, Kan. She grew up in Goodland and graduated from Goodland High School in 1942. She attended Colby Community College and received an associated degree as a licensed practical nurse.

On March 11, 1946, she married Gerald A. Bartels in Goodland. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and PEO.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald; and one grandson, Jason.

Survivors include one son, Gary and wife, Leslie Bartels of Oberlin, Kan.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday, 10 a.m. MDT at the First United Methodist Church in Goodland with Pastor Carol Moore-Ramey officiating. Interment will be at the Goodland Cemetery.

Visitation is today, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., at Bateman Funeral Home and Saturday, before the services, at the church.
