Janet M. Felker

LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- Janet M. Felker, 61, died Wednesday (May 22, 2002) at Lutheran Hospital in Lakewood, Colo.

She was born Nov. 5, 1940, to F. Forest and Virginia (McKillip) Felker. She grew up on a farm east of Hayes Center and graduated from Hayes Center High School in 1958. She also attended McCook College and Kearney State College.

In 1966, she moved to Denver, Colo. where she worked for the Jefferson County Health Department.

She was a member of the Little People of America organization and served as an officer of the organization. She was also a member of the Lutheran Church and the CE Committee.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two sisters, Janice Richter of Castle Rock, Colo., and JoyceAnn Kimball of Lakewood; one brother, Jerry Felker of McCook; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for friends and family will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at the Lamoine and Betty McKillip farm northeast of Hayes Center. Her cremains will be scattered over the Red Willow Creek Valley in keeping with her request.

Memorials may be given in her name to the Little People of America organization in care of Maggie Beveridge, Front Range Chapter of LPA, 15962 East Lehigh Circle, Aurora, Colo. 80013.
