Linda I. Gleason
CULBERTSON -- Linda I. Gleason, 56, died Sunday (Aug. 4, 2002) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln.
She was born July 30, 1946, to Leroy and Ilo (Cottingham) Wilkinson in Hitchcock County. She attended Culbertson High School and later received her General Equivalency Diploma. She was employed at Larry's Cafe in McCook and the McCook Elks Lodge.
On Dec. 23, 1967, she married George "Hoss" Gleason at Wray, Colo. They spent their married lives in Culbertson and for the past twelve years she has worked as a dispatcher for the Hitchcock County Sheriff's Office.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Rebecca Rae; and one sister, Donna Dee Wilkinson.
Survivors include her husband, George "Hoss" of Culbertson; five daughters, Ilo and husband, Rick Swonger and Georgia and husband, Glen Baughman of Culbertson, Angela and husband, Quinton Wright of Grand Island, Valri Settell of Ft. Morgan, Colo., and Jodi and husband, Marvin Lane of Sacramento, Calif.; two sons, Rick Gleason and wife, Amber of Hamlet and Alan Hisel and wife, Loraine of Lenexa, Kan.; two brothers, Earl Wilkinson and Bill Wilkinson and wife, Connie all of McCook; four sisters, Leota Wilkinson of Everett, Wash., Lona and husband, Harold Kilbet of Montrose, Colo., Ramona Wilkinson of Culbertson and Judy and husband, Jack Foster of Ashland; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church in Culbertson with the Rev. Dan Spearow officiating. Interment will be at the Culbertson Cemetery.
