David R. Snyder
PARKS -- David R. Snyder, 52, died Thursday (May 8, 2003) at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colo.
He was born Feb. 25, 1951, at Detroit, Mich., to Russell E. and Lorna (Robertson) Snyder, and attended school in Detroit. During his life he worked as a printer, an auto detailer, and a truck driver.
On Jan. 14, 1995, he married Donna J. (Keenan) Smalley at Benkelman, and they made their home in Parks.
He was a Deacon and Trustee at Trinity Baptist Church in Benkelman, and also taught Sunday school. He was a Leader in the AWANA youth group, and served on the Oregon Trails Baptist Association, where he was a member of the Executive Board and Disaster Relief.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Russell and Lorna Snyder.
Survivors include his wife, Donna J. Snyder of Parks; daughters, Cynthia Snyder of Newark, Ohio, Samantha Snyder of Benkelman, and Sheila and husband, Bob Clark of Indianola; son, Robert Lawing also of Indianola; brothers, Russell Snyder and wife, Sherry of Detroit, Gary Bryant and wife, Sherry of Grayling, Mich., Carl Bryant of Detroit; former wife, Brenda Johnson of Heath, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at Trinity Baptist Church in Benkelman with the Rev. Matthew Price officiating. Interment will follow services at the Benkelman Cemetery.
Visitation is today until 9 p.m. at Forch Funeral Chapel in Benkelman.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given in his name to the Oregon Trails Baptist Association Disaster Relief Fund.
