How hypocritical can our own state government be?

They jump on their soapboxes and preach out of one side of their mouth about the detrimental effects of smoking, and they even go so far as to ban it from all state facilities, etc.

However, when they are looking for funding to cover revenue shortfalls, what is the first thing they look at? You've got it, more tax on cigarettes.

If you think they really care about our health, and want everyone to stop smoking, I've got an oceanside resort in Montana I'd like to sell ... ( you know the rest of that one).

Think about it, if there's a revenue shortfall now, what do you think it would be like if no one bought cigarettes in Nebraska for a month or two?

You can bet they'd be crying in their beer then. I'm not even a smoker, but I can see through their smoke screen.
